Cheap Gas!

Ok, this is a strange one, but I still remember how pissed I was when gas went over a buck a gallon for good in the early ninties, just after I got out of college and was living the poor, single life.

Now, it's 15 years later and I'm all excited because gas has gone back down under two dollars a gallon again.

Wow, I filled up my SUV for under $30 for 13.5 gallons of gas today!

Wow, that's cold!

With twins that are nearly three months old, to say that things around here have gotten crazy would be about as much of an understatement as I could possibly make.

On Wednesday night I put a warm beer in the freezer, with the intention of drinking it after the only cold one left in the fridge. Got up Thursday morning, and the wife is in the kitchen, says, "You forgot a beer in the freezer last night."

So here is my frozen beer, a little colder than even I like.

I haven't been posting as much as I would like, I've been busy both at work and outside of work. Doing as many projects at work that would give me good experience with Microsoft Exchange and Blackberrys. Wanted to pad the resume a little.

Which leads to my big announcement of the day, I'm changing jobs. I'm going into banking! It seems that one of my old banks got bought by Wells Fargo, the owner in turn started a new bank, buying four smaller banks. Two of the banks he bought were my old banks. As a result, when they started looking for someone to come in and work full time on their IT systems, my name came up for the job.

It is really great to have people come to me and say, "We're so happy with your work from the past, we want you full time now for our business." At the same time, I'm a bit intimidated by the task at hand. They have been merging banks, domains and other things for weeks, and there is bound to be a lot of cleanup, fixing and redoing things to get everything ship-shape and running smoothly.

I'm really excited about the challenge. I'm sure I'll be posting more when things settle down.

Time For Mass Deportations

Last night a Houston Police Department officer was murdered by an Illegal Immigrant.

You know, one of those guys, "doing the jobs that Americans don't want."

Well, guess you can add murder of civil servants to that jobs list.

It seems that convicted child molester Juan Leonardo Quintero, who has been deported before after convictions also for DWI and driving with a suspended license.

How the hell did he get a license if he is here illegally?

And they went to his house and talked to his wife in the story. DEPORT THAT BITCH.

Holy shit, when are we going to wake up and fight these invaders?

I hope you will do your part and join me in saying:

EVERY JUAN GO HOME

UPDATES:

Ok, a local TV station has a Story now saying he was upset because he was going to be discovered as a previously deported alien and have to spend time in Federal Prison.

So he chose to kill someone and get the dealth penalty instead. No one said Illegal Aliens were here becuase they were smart I guess. I wish they would televise this weback's execution, I would even consider paying for it on Pay For View.

The 100 Club of Houston is taking donations to help the family of Office Rodney Johnson, just click the link in this sentance to make a difference.

Dilenquents Getting Dumber

Ok, the wife and I stopped with the kids for Mexican food tonight. I had to go piss before ordering, and as I'm going I look up to see the following graffiti. Something that shows how bad of our current education system is these days.

#1 - Damn kids can't spell Cock. They are bragging about a six inch coke!

#2 - They are bragging about a six inch penis. Don't they know to brag about a minimum of twelve inches?

Man, I never would have made these amateur mistakes back when I used to write graffiti.

Always blame the PC guys...

Ok, this morning on the way to work, my vehicle died out.

Luckily, the nice guys from Pearland Police Department stopped by and pushed me off the road to the Diamond Shamrock station nearby.

I thought, cool, I'll go in and get some breakfast.

That's when I noticed the station was all closed up and out of business.

As I was bored, and wandered over to the door, which had this sign posted for the world to see.

Now, I'm no expert, but I don't think it was a computer problem when the inside of the store looks like this.

Oh, and the dealer just called, I had a bad air valve somewhere that was causing the truck to stop running, so it will be ready by the end of the day, just in case you were concerned.
