Art Imitates My Life

Don't know if I should laugh or cry, but this describes things around here to a tee.

Mmmm.... Monte Cristo....

Ok, about once a year I venture to Bennigan's for the Monte Cristo sandwich. Check this thing out: White Bread, Turkey, Swiss Cheese, White Bread, Ham, American Cheese, White Bread. Sound good so far? Now take the entire son-of-a-bitch, dip it in batter and deep fry! Yeah, now you're talking about a good, healthy lunch! Top it off with raspberry jam and some fries, wash it all down with about a gallon of iced tea!

Now I'm too tired to work, and since some idiot users hung the Exchange server up while I was at lunch, I have to wait for it to recover anyway.

Hello? Health Inspector?

We stopped at the Silverlake Whataburger for lunch today. We went in and ordered, which was uneventful, it wasn't till we started looking for a table that we noticed something was wrong. The resturant was filthy, I mean food on the floor, the tables, junk everywhere, it was 2:16 PM and the resturant clearly had not been swept or otherwise cleaned in hours. To top it off, once we sat down, we were bombarded by several flies.

When the lady brought our food out, I asked, "Are you aware this resturant is infested with flies today?" She just smiled and laughed. WTF? Won't be going back to this location for a while, and think I'll avoid Whataburger all together to boot.

Two combos, a #1 with Cheese, a #4 with Jalapenos. $11.40 well spent, most days.

I spy, with my eye, a housefly.

I spy with my eyes, two houseflies.

Here you see a very messy table with a lid and some chicken strip on the floor underneath.

Here is a pixeled photo of the drink lid and chicken under the table.

This is the woman who laughed when we told her about the fly problem.

It wasn't a "Tragedy"

This is a great piece of creative writing by liberal media. Six kids steal someone's car, run it into a train. Four die. This is not a tragedy, a tragedy is when something bad happens to someone for no reason. A tragedy is not something bad that happens to you while you are stealing someone's car. One of the parents wants to blame the train company, seemingly overlooking that without an underaged driver in a stolen vehicle, the relative location of the train, or the markings of the crossing become irrelevant. The article only uses the word stolen once when referring to the Jeep, using synonyms elsewhere, lessening the fact that these were theives, out driving around in someone else's property. There is nothing on the Jeep's owner, perhaps they needed that vehicle for their livelyhood. No talk of the psychological damage they might suffer knowing their vehicle was used for a final death ride for four young children. This was, at best, stupidity on a colossal scale. And while I cannot imagine the horror and decimation that will befall the families of the victims, I find it abhorrent that the media portrays what was juvenile deliquents, stealing an automobile and putting lives, their own and others, at risk, as a tragedy of greatest porportions. It would have been tragic had they killed an innocent bystander. As it stands, it is just a horribly unfortunate accident, no more, no less.

Best Picture on Internet Ever!

I can't quite remember when I got sick of hearing about Paris Hilton on the news. I never will understand how someone known for being slutty and rich is newsworthy these days. Put my wife on the news, there is a real celebrity, she takes care of all three kids every day, while I am off working, frequently with no help, due to my schedule. Put any of a dozen of my high school teachers from so long ago on the news for all the great things they did for other people's children. I'd love to see all this celebutant, alcoholic slut, junkie in rehab "news" go away for good.

So, it was a real treat to read about celebutant Paris Hilton getting sent back to jail, where she belongs, yesterday. I especailly love the part about her crying out "it's not fair" and "mommy, mommy!"

Stupid little bitch, life is not fair, and it's about time you got your share of what's not fair. Wanna know what's not fair? You've never done a fucking useful thing in your life, you're a goddam leach on society, and you've got a huge fortune because your daddy was rich. Take your wealth and do something useful with your life besides being a slutty party whore.

Good luck with your mental breakdown in prison, it might just be good for you.

Best goddam picture ever on the internet!

Update 6-11-07 - Best Internet Quote Ever!

Ok, I thought this thing could not top itslef, but here we go, Paris called Barbara Walters collect from prison, and said:

"I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience."

Imagine, Prison feels like a Cage. I'll bet no one else ever felt that way. Good thing she is pretty, or no one would ever feed or clothe her. She goes on to say that her apparent dumbness was just an act. I find it hard to believe with quotes like the one above.
