Defrauded on eBay

As a second chance item.
My bad - I didn't check before bidding or accepting the 2nd chance offer to see either their feedback, or that they took PayPal.
So I sent a money order for $35 via Certified Mail, return receipt to them. Postage was $4.64, so I'm out $39.64
Got the card back in the mail, it arrived 2/10/2006.
On 2/12/2006 they filed an unpaid item complaint against me, and have been dicking with me back and forth ever since.
Today they entered an unpaid item strike, then closed their account.
Did a Google search on the address, it is a PO Box from the looks of things.
So, time to:
1. File a theft complaint with the Humble Police Department. (I live less than 50 miles away from them.)
2. File a theft/fraud complaint with the United States Postal Service. (Done 2-16-2006 online at usps.com)
3. File a complaint with the PO Box company if I can figure out who they are. Figured out who they are below.
4. Figure out where they are located for real, and pay a visit.

Called my credit union this morning. Money order has not been cahsed yet. Going to call the PO Box company today.
Ok, called the PO Box company and spoke with a Laura. I had to explain to her the nature of theft, but eventually got her to agree to have the manager call me. Later, I was called by Raul. He confirmed that the letter was received, and that it was there. However, it turns out that Ronda Strauser is a deadbeat and has not paid her bill there in quite some time. He cannot release the letter to me, and he cannot help me furher, but now I know it has not been cashed for sure, and it is not in the hands of theif Ronda Strauser.
Next call will be to the Humble Police Department or the United States Postal Service.
Late updaate: Ok, e-mailed another eBayer that had left her bad feedback. Got the lowdown that she lives in Iowa. I think I found a page with her information:

Next step? Well, as the money order is at the PO Box company, I'm going to e-mail all of her addresses and share with her what information I have found on her for free on the internet. Tell her to call the PO Box company and authorize them to return my money order. Remind her that if I don't get it done, I will be making her life as difficult as possible.
Oh, I'm also contacting any other eBayer that has bad feedback for her and providing them with the information that I have found. Hard to do becuase she hid her feedback when she closed her account, but I have faith in my ability.

Got an e-mail back from one of the addresses. Now, being a geek, I've had to deal with my share of bullies. If you go look at her tripod site, then read the e-mail, she is either blessed with multiple personalities, or is using a classic bullying tactic that I won't bait on in any way. I'm used to bullies dicking me around, then being very nice when they they think someone is looking. So I don't buy the friendly response from someone's web page that consists mostly of "fuck you" and "fuck the world". Nice try though. Going to have some fun with her now.

Got an e-mail from Ronda on the undergroundworld_2006@yahoo.com askig me for my address yesterday. Didn't respond.
Now I have something in the Dispute Console on eBay saying the item was shipped. Dind't respond. But I am curious and would like an answer from eBay about how someone who is "No longer a Registered User" can log in and add content to the dispute. Maybe I'll get to that sometime today if I have a chance to get their Help Chat console up and running.

Can't explain everything right now, but I got my money order back. Removed the other company names from the post, looks like they are legitimate businesses and Ronda was the one running a fradulant business out of that location. I'll wrap up more on my other blog shortly. The short explination is that the squeaky wheel, in my case the really squeaky wheel, gets the grease.

I had a problems with a seller once, too (far more established than yours). They kept sending me the wrong item, despite them insisting that it was the right item. I took a picture of the item they sent me, photoshopped it next to the item pictured in their listing, and they STILL didn't get it. They refused to refund my money. So I became their bitch, just like you :)
I figured out that they were a corporation, and filed a complaint with the BBB in their city, filed a complaint with eBay, filed a complaint with the postal service, had somebody I know who lived in the area leave a note on their business door (which they were never at, obviously), and filed a report on their domain at every resellerratings.com-type site I could find.
Needless to say, their eBay rating has tanked (they had 2500+ transations) and their eBay store is now closed. While I never did see my $40, I certainly do feel pretty good about showing the world these assholes.

Did she supply you with any different information than what I have on the blog? Mostly just finding out what I can about her to help stop her from being able to operate so freely. Also, if you call Manuel at the USA2ME place and find out if your money is still there if that is where you sent the MO. Mine is still there, and he hates it when I call there now. Going to piss him off enough that he will close her account.
Be sure and call Raul at (281) 361-7200 and ask if your money/envelope is there. He might not be helpful, but if she becomes a pain in his side you never know what might happen.
